Fishing At The Summer Place logo

With The Summer Place being located on the East Shore of Rondeau Bay, there is a vast variety of fish that can be caught.  In the early spring our campers look forward to the crappie(specs) that churn our channels up.  Also, around the docks of the marina, there is a good chance of  Northern Pike making an appearance.

3 Ladies with their Bass      For Bass fisherman, Rondeau Bay offers both small and large mouth bass which are plentiful.  This past spring there was a record number of bass caught.  A well known pro bass fisherman claims that Rondeau Bay is the best kept secret in all of Southwestern Ontario.
Other species of fish that claim Rondeau Bay as their habitat include, yellow perch, bluegill, sunfish and even the odd muskie.

For those that choose to venture to bigger waters, Lake Erie is just a short six mile trip across the bay.  One can find salmon, rainbow trout and walleye, which have been known to show their gills.
